It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you. The contract hours will be scheduled within the advertised availability window, with 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility if your availability matches closely but not exactly to the advertised times.
Pay: Our Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 per hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.

- Help to serve our shoppers better every day as a colleague in-store.

- Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required; put training into practice to work safely and serve customers brilliantly.
- Make decisions that are right for customers and deliver routines in-store that meet customer needs at the right time.
- Take part in seasonal, community and charity events to create a great inclusive atmosphere.
- Be knowledgeable about store performance, understand your part in driving service and sales, reducing waste, shrink and delivering profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
- Represent Tesco values, be welcoming, and follow policies. May be required to accept deliveries into the store.
