As a Service Maintenance Technician your specific responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks. To thrive in this role, you will need to:
- Confidently Interact with External Contractors: Coordinating repairs seamlessly.
- Work Collaboratively with the Team: Be a great colleague who understands the importance of quality service.
- Sustain High Energy Levels: Juggling tasks while maintaining efficiency.
- Assist the Management Team: Keeping our stores operating smoothly by maintaining equipment and facilities.
- Minimise Customer Disruption: Coordinating repairs with minimal impact on our valued customers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring all Tesco sites are a safe and functioning environment for customers and colleagues.
- Following the planned work schedule to achieve first time fix, improving efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Working closely with team members, sharing best practice and knowledge.
- General day to day store and property maintenance.
- Using mobile devices; phone and tablet, to drive the best approach in work completion and updates.
- Representing the Tesco brand by demonstrating our core values, maintaining a positive attitude & taking pride in wearing the Tesco uniform.
- Attending local and national meetings, providing valuable input and feedback.
- Supporting a diverse and inclusive culture.
You will need:
- Enthusiasm for maintaining high standards.
- Previous experience in a maintenance, engineering, or construction environment.
- Digital confidence using a tablet to view daily work schedules and manage emails.
Operational Skills:
- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or improver programme or trade proficiency test / relevant trade experience.
- Basic diagnostics: PCB/Microprocessor / HMI controlled systems / equipment.
- Electrical Safety Circuit - Basic Working Knowledge, fault finding and replacement.
- EICR Remedial Knowledge.
- Full driving license.
- Health & Safety awareness.
- Communication & stakeholder management.
- Office 365 knowledge.
Required Qualifications:
- City & Guilds Level 3 – Electrical (Or Equivalent).
- Apprenticeship/Improver programme.
- EICR Remedial works experience.
Preferable Qualifications:
- City & Guilds Inspection & Testing.
- ECoPs.
- City & Guilds 18th Edition.
- MEWP/IPAF Licence.
