Overview
In this role you will analyse and document business requirements, user stories and data flows to support data platform and reporting solutions. You’ll partner with Product Owners, Tribe Leads and stakeholders to keep requirements clear, prioritised and deliverable across complex programmes. You will build strong cross-functional relationships, provide expert data analysis, and mentor juniors. This is a data-focused role within the Tesco Mobile Agile Tribe, shaping data capabilities and insights at scale.

Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between the Data Tribe and stakeholders across Tesco Mobile
- Scope initiatives and enhancements affecting Data Platforms, Power BI, Insight & Analytics, Data Science, and Marketing Platforms
- Translate business requirements into actionable data requirements for the Data Platforms squad
- Elicit and refine requirements with Product Tribes, CoEs, and business functions to identify data and analytics needs
- Collaborate with delivery squads to ensure aligned, integrated feature delivery with maximum business value
- Partner with Data Product Owners and delivery teams to provide clarity for successful feature delivery
- Ensure traceability between business requirements, delivered solutions, and OKRs
- Define and support process improvements and operating model changes for new data capabilities
- Work with Data Architects to align solutions with data architecture principles and standards
- Challenge stakeholder requirements to ensure alignment with priorities and agile principles
- Demonstrate completed features to stakeholders, gather feedback, and secure business acceptance
- Support and influence the wider Business Analysis community to improve data-related requirements quality
- Facilitate collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of requirements, risks, and outcomes
Key requirements
- Three or more years of Business Analysis experience in agile or hybrid environments
- Experience applying agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS) for delivery
- Strong analytical, business analysis, and process design skills
- Experience mapping and modelling business processes for continuous improvement
- Stakeholder management across levels including senior leaders
- Understanding and modelling complex data flows and data dependencies
- Knowledge of data platforms, data management principles, and best practices
- Ability to bridge technical and business stakeholders through clear communication
- Ability to evaluate outcomes and identify efficiency improvements
- Proficiency in documentation, presentations, and analysis using Excel, Word, PowerPoint
