Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid, however you need to travel to our Newcastle office 2 days per week for this role. Occasional travel to other Tesco offices may also be required.

The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Technology team within Tesco Insurance and Money Services. It’s an exciting time in our business and we’re recruiting a Senior Analyst to join our growing Engineering team within our Technology department. As a Senior Analyst you’ll be responsible for gathering data requirements and identifying areas of opportunity. You’ll also be responsible for utilising a variety of methods to develop and interpret information to assist decision making on complex changes. This includes designing, documenting, analysing and supporting troubleshooting to facilitate development to products, and processes. As a Senior Analyst you’ll support the wider analyst team in development and consistent standards in ways of working.
We’re looking for a pro-active, driven individual with previous experience working in a similar role. You’ll manage the delivery of feasibility and assessment work for proposed and current projects to contribute to the development and continuous review of business cases.
Responsibilities
- Deliver actionable analysis and insights to support product, engineering, and operational decisions.
- Translate complex or ambiguous business problems into clear analytical questions and measurable outcomes.
- Lead exploratory analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, risks, and opportunities.
- Monitor performance trends and drive continuous improvement through deep-dive analysis.
- Map end-to-end processes, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Create executive-ready reporting with clear narrative and recommendations.
- Communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and senior stakeholders to shape priorities using evidence.
- Ensure data integrity through validation, documentation, and quality checks.
- Support the development of tools, standards, and templates for the wider team.
Minimum requirements
- Experience in an analyst role in Technology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain insights with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collect business requirements using a variety of methods such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis to express the requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to create the most effective and efficient solutions.
- Demonstrable experience of a technical leadership role in a medium to large enterprise organisation.
- Skilled people management and leadership capability displaying excellent judgement and latitude in decision making.
