Overview
In this role you will shape Tesco’s partner ecosystem by identifying, negotiating and delivering third-party retail partnerships that uplift the customer offer. You’ll own end-to-end delivery from opportunity assessment to implementation and ongoing performance management, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with Tesco’s priorities. You’ll help drive loyalty and long-term value across the property estate while leading cross-functional teams and applying customer insight to strategic decisions. This is a highly commercial, relationship-driven role with a clear impact on the customer proposition and estate performance.

Responsibilities
- Developing long-term, customer-led partnership strategies to enhance the Tesco customer proposition
- Managing end-to-end onboarding of third-party retail partners from assessment to implementation and ongoing performance management
- Building and maintaining external partner relationships as the primary point of contact throughout the lifecycle
- Identifying growth opportunities across your category and collaborating with other Partnership Managers on strategic plans
- Creating and maintaining a pipeline of partnership installations and projects across the estate
- Reviewing business cases to identify efficiencies and unlock opportunities through joint projects and innovative solutions
- Collaborating with UK and Tesco Business Services teams to ensure effective partner management and delivery
- Using customer insight, market trends and competitor analysis to inform decisions
- Negotiating commercial agreements and ensuring contracts meet Tesco governance standards
- Managing category finances including forecasting, budgeting and cost allocation
- Leading cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Product, Channels, Customer) to deliver projects
- Monitoring market developments and competitor activity to identify trends and opportunities
- Driving continuous improvement of processes, workflows and partnership methodologies
Key requirements
- Experience developing and delivering category or partnership strategies
- Strong commercial experience within retail, property, partnerships or customer-facing environments
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple critical paths
- Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders internally and externally
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing contractual relationships
- Financial management experience including budgeting, forecasting and business case evaluation
- Analytical skills to interpret insight and market data for decision-making
- Experience reviewing cost plans and investment proposals
- Strong communication skills to present and influence at all levels
