Overview
In this Lead Procurement role you will shape and deliver the Group Sourcing & Procurement strategy, partnering with senior leaders to govern planning, savings delivery, and category strategy. You’ll drive transformation initiatives, improve governance and ways of working, and enable data-driven decision-making across the function. This is a high-impact position that influences the future direction of Sourcing & Procurement within the Group. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to realise value from the savings programme and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Lead the Group Savings Programme governance and delivery (S2I, Capital, inflation mitigation, cash and working capital) and automate reporting.
- Own integrated planning for the function including category strategy, long-term planning, budget forecasting, and savings pipeline management across UK, regional, and subsidiaries.
- Partner with senior leaders to shape the Procurement transformation agenda and embed new ways of working (Target Operating Model).
- Drive strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, governance, collaboration, and adoption of new technologies.
- Provide strategic analysis, insights, and executive-level communications to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Tesco Business Services on transformation projects and system enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to processes and governance, challenging deviations and promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
- Champion AI, automation and data analytics to enhance spend visibility and value delivery.
- Develop and deliver core Group Procurement communications for stakeholder engagement.
- Mentor colleagues and foster a continuous improvement mindset.
