Overview
Our Pharmacy Dispenser rate of pay starts from ÂŁ12.87 an hour; this increases to ÂŁ14.08 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
The table shows the periods of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work — the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues, therefore if the times you’re available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, we’d still love to hear from you. Role responsibilities
- Supporting the operation of one of our new modern Pharmacies.
- Applying technical skills and strong customer focus to accurately dispense medication for customers.
- Dispensing prescription medicines with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Talking to customers and offering information in a confident, friendly and professional manner to provide a great service.
- Offering information to customers on common ailments, symptoms and products.
- Understanding customers’ needs and explaining product benefits in an understandable way.
- Advising customers on the range of Pharmacy services available.
- Supporting and delivering Pharmacy services and the dispensing process according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assessing the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
- Handling clinical and legal queries from Healthcare practitioners within area of competence.
- Responding to customer queries related to prescription medicines and informing the Pharmacist of any complaints.
- Ensuring all dispensary routines and procedures are followed and the dispensary/consulting rooms are clean and tidy.
- Ensuring all prescription administration is accurate and completed on time.
- Carrying out corporate and departmental training and keeping up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
Qualifications
- Qualifications gained from working in a Pharmacy environment.
- A desire to train and develop into the Pharmacy field.
