We\’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic team member to join our Food Stop canteen. In this hands-on role, you\’ll be preparing and serving high-quality hot and cold food, supporting buffet deliveries for meetings and training sessions, and ensuring our canteen remains clean, welcoming, and well-stocked. From operating the till and managing deliveries to completing essential cleaning and compliance routines, you\’ll play a key part in keeping things running smoothly. You will be responsible for
- Preparing quality hot and cold food
- Preparing and delivering buffets for meetings and training courses
- Serving hot and cold food in line with canteen ways of working and portion control
- Operating the till ensuring that sales are recorded accurately
- Keeping the canteen seating area tidy and presentable
- Cleaning routines including the coffee machine
- Ensuring that daily / weekly / monthly due diligence routines are completed
- Accepting, checking and recording of deliveries
- Escalating any operational issues to the Food Stop Manager
- Supporting any initiatives taking place in the Store Support Centre
- Complete other tasks upon Food Stop Manager\’s request
Skills I need
- Level 2 Food Hygiene essential
- Level 3 Food Hygiene preferable
- Good understanding of health and safety and food hygiene
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Experience of balancing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Experience of working in a catering environment
- Ability to follow and accurately record routines for due diligence purposes
- Ability to be flexible to provide cover for sickness / holiday
