About the role
We are seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this fast-paced retail environment, no two days are the same.
You will play a vital role in daily store operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store\’s appearance.
As customer satisfaction is at the core of our values, you will constantly seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and staff.
Responsibilities
- Serve customers with passion and pride, delivering natural and friendly service.
- Encourage customer feedback via the ‘Have Your Say’ survey.
- Work across various store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
- Apply training to ensure safety and compliance.
- Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
- Understand store performance and contribute to profit goals.
- Uphold company values, make everyone feel welcome, and follow policies.
- Accurately clock in and out of shifts.
- Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment as required.
- Adhere to the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
- Respond promptly to assistance calls, explaining actions clearly to customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
- Potentially manage shifts in absence of senior staff.
- If applicable, operate the Post Office, including passing necessary background checks.
