b Overview /b p In this role you will own the long-term financial strategy for Tescos Marketplace, underpinning key proposition decisions with clear strategic and financial rationale. You will lead strategic business cases across the full customer proposition and build robust financial models to evaluate trade-offs. You’ll support Investment Committee papers for major decisions, helping shape the next phase of Marketplace within a fast‑growing digital business. This is a central, commercially focused finance role that couples strategic thinking with hands-on financial leadership. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Annual bonus up to 20% of base salary /li li 25 days holiday + personal day + bank holidays /li li Private medical insurance /li li Maternity and adoption leave with enhanced pay /li li Paternity leave /li li EAP and mental wellbeing support /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Strategic business partnering: assess significant marketplace propositions, build business cases, run scenario modelling, and prepare Investment Committee papers. /li li Planning: lead budgeting and long‑term planning cycles, challenge senior stakeholders, ensure plans reflect key choices, risks and opportunities. /li li Commercial Range strategy: collaborate to develop marketplace range and category strategy with external market insight and financial challenge. /li li Marketplace economics: develop commission structures, back margins, and seller propositions. /li li Customer proposition: shape loyalty, Clubcard, marketing investment and customer incentive decisions with financial leadership. /li li Operations Fulfilment strategy: evaluate fulfilment options, delivery/returns, subscription models and Tesco Fulfilled by Tesco. /li li Financial performance, planning team leadership: own marketplace financial performance; oversee management accounts and reporting; coach FP A team in India for high‑quality outputs. /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) /li li Experience delivering strategic priorities in large, fast‑paced organisations /li li Exceptional communication; ability to translate financial data for financial and non‑financial audiences /li li Strong collaboration and influence with senior stakeholders across functions /li li Advanced financial analysis, modelling and scenario planning /li li Experience leading planning, forecasting and budgeting processes /li li Strong commercial mindset; ability to evaluate trade-offs and guide decisions /li li Experience developing business cases and supporting significant investment decisions /li li Track record of constructive challenge to drive outcomes /li li Retail/eCommerce/digital marketplace experience preferred /li /ul ul li Excellent communication /li li Strategic thinking /li li Influencing and stakeholder management /li li Advanced financial analysis /li li Financial modelling /li li Scenario planning /li /ul
