Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It\’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with options for fewer hours (minimum 12). We are flexible and interested in hearing from you regardless of your preferred hours.

As the face of Tesco on the road, our Customer Delivery Drivers meet and talk to customers in their homes daily. This role involves more than just driving: it\’s about helping others and delivering excellent service with a smile.
It\’s hands-on, physical, and varied. No two shifts are the same, and customers often need help in different ways. Most of the day, you\’ll be your own boss, delivering to customers, with support available from managers and colleagues back at base.

You will be responsible for
- Ensuring the van and trays are clean and organized
- Leaving the delivery area tidy and picking up litter
- Washing trays as required
- Loading the van and checking its roadworthiness
- Communicating with customers about order changes, substitutions, and refunds
- Handling products carefully
- Explaining substitution charges to customers
- Delivering within the scheduled time slot
- Calling customers before early arrivals
- Calling the store if running more than 30 minutes late
You will need
- Building good relationships with colleagues

- Sharing ideas for store improvements
- Having a valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
