Pay and hours
Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
Availability and scheduling
The period of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work — the availability windows — will be used to schedule your contracted hours. You’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility: if your available times match closely but not exactly to the advertised times, we’d still love to hear from you. Read more about this policy.

Responsibilities
- Delivering your part of our customer shopping trip by ensuring the van and trays are clean and tidy
- Leave the back yard clean and free of rubbish; pick up litter as you see it
- Wash trays as part of the tray wash process
- Load the van as required; check the van for roadworthiness
- Talk to customers about changes to their order, including substitutions, offering refunds where appropriate
- Care for products/deliveries as if they were your own
- Explain substitutions to customers and confirm no extra charge
- Deliver during the customer time slot
- Call the customer before arriving if early
- Call the store/centre if running 30 minutes or more late
What you’ll need
- Build relationships with colleagues to create a strong team
- Warm and welcoming interactions with customers and colleagues
- Ability to respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change
- Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations while balancing home and work
- Share ideas with your Manager and colleagues to improve our store
- A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
