Customer Delivery Driver – Alfreton
Pay starts from ÂŁ13.35 an hour; increases to ÂŁ14.56 for M25 stores. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, but you can work as few as 12 hours if needed.
Availability windows (7 days a week). We will schedule your hours within these windows and give you 3 weeks’ notice of shift times.
- Sun 10:00 – 22:00
- Fri 13:00 – 23:00
- Sat 13:00 – 22:00
Responsibilities
- Ensure van and trays are clean and tidy.
- Keep the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish; pick up litter as seen.
- Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
- Load the van as required and check roadworthiness.
- Talk to customers about order changes, short code items and substitutions; offer refunds for unhappy items.
- Take care of products/deliveries as if they were my own.
- Explain to customers that they will not be charged any more for their substitutions.
- Deliver during the customer’s time slot.
- Call the customer before arriving at their property if early.
- Call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.

- Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and make the store best for customers.
- Warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues; say \”Thank you.\”
- Act quickly to respond to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
- Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, integrating home and work to achieve a balance that is right for me.
- Share ideas with my Manager and other colleagues on how we can improve the store for customers.
- A valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
