As a Maintenance Technician at Tesco, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our stores remain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues alike. You'll be part of a skilled team responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of systems and equipment, helping to keep our operations running smoothly. Your work will directly impact the shopping experience of thousands of customers every day. You'll use your technical expertise to identify and resolve issues efficiently, always prioritising safety, compliance, and quality. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high standards. You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all Tesco sites are a safe and functioning environment for customers and colleagues.
- Following the planned work schedule to achieve first time fix, maximising productivity, and effectiveness.
- Delivering high quality work standards across the estate, with year-on-year improvement.
- Using problem-solving skills and innovation to identify and develop solutions for key and common issues.
- Owning tasks at a local level through to completion/resolution, informing key stakeholders through the process, where required.
- Using mobile devices; phone and tablet, to drive best practice in work completion and updates.
- Using the business systems to drive best practice in work order reporting to support asset lifecycle management.
- Supporting KPI delivery, through the practical application of skill sets, and effective use of business systems to drive achievement of your own set KPIs.

- Digitally confident; can comfortably operate mobile phone and tablets to view workload, emails, teams, and use of business systems.

- Heating & Ventilation C&G 7188, 6288, 6188 or NVQ or Equivalent

- C&G 2079 - F-Gas and ODS regulations (Air Con)
- CCN1 - Core gas safety (Gas) includes COCN1 & CODNCO1

- CDGA1 - Commercial natural gas and LPG direct fired heating appliances
- ICPN1 - Installation first fix commercial pipework
- CIGA1 - Commercial indirect fired heating appliances
- CORT1 - Commercial overhead radiant heaters
- TPCP1A - Testing and direct purging of low pressure commercial pipework not exceeding 1m3
