This team is at the heart of designing and enabling transformational technology-based change across Tesco. The team is responsible for a diverse portfolio of projects and programmes that impact colleagues and suppliers across the Tesco organisation at all levels. We recognise that change management is a critical element of successful transformation to ensure we realise our benefits. As such, we are looking for a Change Manager with experience of, and passion for, delivering effective change. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Change Lead you will be responsible for ensuring Tesco colleagues, across head office divisions, are empowered to lead, embrace and sustain changes to ways of working.
- Change strategy: Design and deliver the end to end Change Management strategy for programmes and projects in alignment with the Change framework to drive behavioural change and embed new business ways of working on policies, processes and products (systems).
- Change assessments: Undertake Change Management assessments that inform the people side of change throughout the life of programmes and projects. Conducting change impact assessments, managing people risks and issues and audience capacity. Assessing the readiness for change of all stakeholders and impacted audiences, advising on activities to embed the change within the business.
- Stakeholder management: Develop and deliver stakeholder engagement strategies and plans. Identify, manage, and communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders. Ability to show empathy, listen actively and express ideas and facts in a clear and confident manner both verbally and written. Ability to influence without authority and report, present, manage meetings and facilitate effectively.
- Change communications: Create a persuasive case for change, producing communication and engagement materials and owning communications to stakeholders. Ensure all materials are designed and produced in a timely manner and align to wider messages and are on brand.
- Change training: Identifying education and training requirements and working closely with the Training Team to develop suitable solutions.
- People-focused: Be the ‘go to’ person for expertise on how to deliver and manage the people side of change. Represent the end user throughout and understand their experience as a customer. Assist in the provision of transition support to a sustainable business as a usual environment.
Essential
- Experience of defining and delivering change strategies within a large organisation.
- Experience of delivering behavioural change initiatives to embed new ways of working across broad groups of stakeholders.
- Personal, relatable character, able to build relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders.
- Ability to work with pace and ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening).
- Good MS Office skills.
Desirable
- Experience of working with Technology stakeholders or within a Technology environment.
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
- Skills and passion for people and coaching.
- Background in the retail sector.
- Change qualification e.g. APMG Change Management or Prosci.
- Project/Programme qualification e.g. APM/MSP.
