As the Assistant Markdown Planner, you'll take ownership of the Clear to Zero (CTZ) Process for Tesco GM, working across multiple teams to ensure all activity is delivered in line with the Critical Path and agreed policies. You'll support your Manager and the Commercial Teams by providing insightful analysis that gives full visibility of CTZ spend and helps drive GM's annual stock targets. You'll also be responsible for reviewing and reporting the weekly Goods Out of Range Summary, collaborating with relevant teams to ensure every piece of un-ranged stock has a clear plan. This reporting supports decision-making across GM, including Finance.

Responsibilities
- Management of CTZ (Cleared to Zero) Process across all GM Departments. Ensuring that all Discontinued Products are entered into the process or have an Exit Plan.
- Understanding of the CTZ Budget. Highlighting issues with resolutions.
- Production of analysis / reports to support my Manager, GM Commercial Teams, Technical and Retail Support.
- Understanding the GM Stock Strategy and plan in place to help achieve. Ability to demonstrate how CTZ has helped to deliver the target.
- Coordination between the UK Commercial Teams, Markdown Team and Retail Support
- Working with the Commercial Teams to understand Trade Driving Strategy and ensure CTZ is planned in-line with the plan
- Ensuring Retail Support are aware of all CTZ activities and these are planned into the Store Operations
- Pro-actively look for opportunities to improve the CTZ (Cleared to Zero) Process. Ability to drive change.
- Being accountable for CTZ (Cleared to Zero) Training across all GM Departments.
- Being accountable for the running, reviewing and reporting the Goods Out of Range Reports.
You will need
- Understanding of Commercial Objectives
- Strong Analytical Capability
- Strong Communication Skills
- Strong Excel Skills with working knowledge of all other MS Office Software (Power Point, Word etc.)
- SQL Skills preferred
Experience relevant for this job:
- Prior experience in Retail and Inventory Management
- Knowledge of Tesco MD & CTZ (Cleared to Zero) Policy preferred
- Merchandising Principles / Experience
