As a Systems Engineering Manager you will play a pivotal role building and maintaining a performing team that consistently deliver quality outcomes, whilst empowering our engineers to make their own technical decisions. You will work effectively with internal and external business stakeholders and product teams to ensure the right outcomes are delivered, whilst formulating the technical strategy and roadmap for the area. About the Team: The Treasury Technology team will be based across UK and India and is part of our wider Finance systems engineering team. The UK team focuses on enhancing our treasury system with a wider roadmap for developing alongside the strategic solution of Findur, whilst our team in India will focus on maintaining and running the current solutions in place.This role can be based out of either our London Farringdon or Welwyn Garden City office (depending on your home location). You will need
Strong knowledge of configuration and data structure of Openlink Findur or Endur Treasury Management System (TMS). Experience in Findur would be a significant advantage.
Hands-on Findur experience with financial instruments including, but not limited to, Cash, Foreign Exchange, Bonds and Loans combined with experience in various Openlink Findur modules/functionality
Experience in working on large scale system projects such as system upgrades, maintenance releases and major systems change (new modules, interfaces, functionality etc)
The ability to analyse, debug, and resolve application and/or technical system related issues and be able to analyse and customise Openlink Findur using AVS, JVS and MS SQL Server
Understanding of systems architecture (Database, Application, Presentation and Network layers)
High level of interpersonal skills to enable effective communication with business and technology stakeholders and vendors
Identify opportunities to streamline treasury processes through optimal use of Treasury systems
Experience in tools such as Eclipse (Luna, Mars) and MSSQL server
Understanding of financial concepts – P&L, Accounting, Taxes, Financial Risk, Financial Instruments (derivatives traded products)
Understanding of operations concepts: Production, Planning, Logistics, Storage, Distribution, Operations risk
Understanding of project methodologies and deliverable frameworks such as Agile, Scrum etc
Experience managing a small team combined with resource management experience
Great stakeholder communications, with a skill set to translate business requirements into technical outputs
