Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but flexible options from 12 hours are available. We support flexibility and will schedule your contracted hours within these availability windows.
Responsibilities
- Serve shoppers, greeting customers with a smile and delivering great service.
- Build rapport with customers to create a memorable shopping trip.
- Make decisions that are right for customers at the right time.
- Work well within a team and communicate openly with others.
- Participate in seasonal, community and charity events.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality.
- Accept deliveries into the store when required.
- Serve customers across the store, picking and replenishing areas.
Qualifications
- Passionate about delivering great service, greeting customers with a smile.
- Knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
- Experience in picking and replenishment areas.
- Understanding of store performance and the ability to drive service and sales.
- Ability to read and understand policies and to follow them.
- Be a team player, build relationships with colleagues to create a team spirit.
- Be punctual, well‑presented and ready to act as a brand ambassador.
- Having a passion for delivering great service, with pride and pride.
