Availability Window

Sunday – Saturday: 18:00 – 02:00.

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you’d like to work fewer hours (minimum 12) we also have opportunities.

The span of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work – the availability windows – will guide scheduling. You will have three weeks’ notice of your shifts. We are happy to support flexibility if your availability is close to, but not exactly, our advertised times.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out clean‑as‑you‑go routines, using the appropriate tools.
  • Keep aisles clear of congestion when replenishing or picking products.
  • Work in a clean, tidy and organised manner and remove any equipment that needs cleaning from use.
  • Follow the warehouse/storage plan, putting every item back in its place.
  • Ensure picking trays remain clean, taking dirty trays out of use for cleaning.
  • Regularly replenish products so customers can obtain what they want:
    • Fill products that matter most to customers first when gaps arise.
    • Track product locations after merchandising activity.
    • Pull stock forward and remove cardboard to keep products visible.
    • Keep the warehouse organised, placing items back where they belong.
    • Complete stock routines accurately and on time.
    • Pick online orders accurately, ensuring the best quality and freshness, and perform substitutions as needed.
    • Ensure each picked item meets the highest quality standard and has the best possible date for freshness.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit and ensure the store best serves customers.
  • Offer warm and welcoming interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand customers and say ‘Thank you’.
  • Respond promptly to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
  • Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, balancing home and work life.
  • Share ideas with your Manager and colleagues on ways to improve the store for customers.
