About the role
As the Staff Analytics Engineer on the Cyber Analytics team, you will be key in designing, developing, and deploying a scalable data lake and data warehouse solutions and data models that empower our security users to draw insights and develop reporting capabilities, advanced analytics, machine learning, and GenAI solutions to enhance our security defenses. You will lead data modeling and architectural decisions, guide technical direction, and mentor the analytics engineering team to deliver high-quality data products. At Tesco, we believe in the power of spending more time together, face-to-face, than apart. During your working week, you can expect to spend 60% of your time in one of our office locations or local sites and the rest remotely. Responsibilities include:
- Technical Leadership: Designing, developing, and delivering cyber data lake and data warehouse solutions, analytics frameworks, and processes to provide quality data products for cybersecurity use cases.
- Analytics Architecture: Building and managing ETLs and data quality processes, implementing Data as a Service (DaaS) models.
- Coding and Documentation: Maintaining high coding standards, conducting peer reviews, and documenting data models and ETLs.
- Data Security and Compliance: Ensuring data security and regulatory compliance.
- Automation and DevOps: Automating deployment and management of data solutions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience leading teams in delivering robust data models and analytics frameworks.
- Strong programming skills in Python/PySpark and SQL.
- Experience with cloud data lake and warehouse solutions, particularly Databricks on Azure, with DaaS models.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks, orchestration tools like Airflow and dbt.
- Experience with enterprise BI tools such as Tableau.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles.
