The predicted salary is between 12 - 16 £ per hour.

Availability Window: Tue – Sat: 14:30 – 23:15.

Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 an hour; this increases to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location. We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with part‑time options down to 12 hours. The availability window is the period we’d like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and provide three weeks’ notice of your shifts. We support flexibility; if your available times are close but not exact, we’d still like to hear from you.

Shift Leader responsibilities:
  • Work in a fast‑paced retail environment, with a variety of tasks
  • Take ownership of running duty shifts and coordinate the team to deliver a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations
  • Serve customers, listening to them and ensuring they leave the store satisfied
  • Seek ways to improve service, including coaching colleagues and giving feedback
  • Guide and support colleagues in‑store, ensuring a safe work and shopping environment
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of store performance and assist managers with actions that improve operations
  • Lead from the front, setting a great example in everything you do
  • Coordinate the store team to deliver an easy, fuss‑free shopping experience for customers
  • Support colleagues in achieving daily priorities and taking regular breaks
  • Open and close the store, completing duty cover and making decisions that promote safety
  • Act as the go‑to person for day‑to‑day queries in the absence of a manager
  • Ensure the store is always clean, tidy and well‑presented
  • Assist managers in coordinating seasonal, community and charity events
  • Create a positive, inclusive team atmosphere and celebrate great service
  • Keep the team informed about communications, changes or updates
  • Remain knowledgeable about store performance, simplifying operations where possible
  • Coordinate store improvements and remove obstacles to great service
  • Follow health and safety routines and ensure colleagues do the same
  • Recognise and celebrate colleagues who provide excellent service
  • Model thoughtful customer service and lead the team towards exceeding expectations
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, fostering an inclusive environment
