We’re looking for an energised Operational Training Manager to lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of training across our operational teams. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring colleagues have the skills, capability and confidence to deliver exceptional experiences for our customers.
Working cross‑functionally, you’ll use data, insights and feedback to shape training programmes that strengthen performance, support our strategy, and help our colleagues grow. Training Strategy & Delivery
- Leading the design and implementation of operational training programmes across your region/area.
- Using insights, performance data and colleague feedback to shape and improve training content.
- Ensuring training solutions support business goals, operational needs and future capability plans.
- Identifying gaps in knowledge, skills or process adherence and developing targeted solutions.
- Supporting the rollout of new operational initiatives through tailored learning programmes.
Stakeholder Leadership
- Working closely with Operations, HR, Learning & Development and wider business teams to ensure alignment and effectiveness of all training activity.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to Operational Managers, providing insight and recommendations that improve colleague performance.
- Presenting training outcomes, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders with clarity and impact.
Continuous Improvement
- Championing best practice in training, learning design, and colleague development.
- Reviewing training delivery methods, tools and platforms to ensure they remain modern, efficient and engaging.
- Supporting the creation and improvement of processes, tools and frameworks for the training team.
People & Resource Responsibilities
- Managing training plans, delivery schedules and resources within your area.
- Ensuring training spend is effective, measured and aligned to business priorities.
- Supporting and coaching trainers, delivery leads or SMEs (if applicable).
Qualifications
- Experience in a role focused on learning, development or operational training.
- Strong skills in analysing data/insights to inform decisions and shape training strategy.
- Confidence in presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, able to deliver clear, engaging and impactful messages.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and digital learning tools.
- The ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate across multiple teams.
- A passion for colleague development and improving operational performance.
