We are looking for a Content Designer with strong experience in information architecture, structured content, and multi-platform documentation to join our design system team. You will be responsible for defining, aligning, and maintaining content across 180+ components, design documentation, engineering documentation (web and native), tokens, and contribution governance.
You will play a critical role in designing content that serves both people and machines—setting up our design system for long-term scalability, discoverability, and AI-driven use cases. Content design is about solving real user problems with clear, purposeful information. You will design content that meets real user needs—no more, no less—and empower people and AI to understand, navigate, and adopt our design system.
Responsibilities
- Audit and improve documentation across design, engineering, and user-facing channels based on user needs and evidence, not assumptions.
- Create clear, concise, and actionable content for 180+ components, patterns, and tokens.
- Structure information so users can find what they need, when they need it.
- Develop and maintain naming conventions and taxonomies for tokens and components that make sense to users and support engineering handover.
- Maintain taxonomies and information structures that scale with the system.
- Ensure names support searchability and engineering handover.
- Create structured, reusable content designed for humans and AI.
- Develop schemas, templates, and metadata models across the system.
- Ensure content is semantically structured for both human understanding, automation and AI-driven use cases.
- Define contribution guidelines, workflows, and documentation standards.
- Maintain content quality and consistency over time.
- Work closely with design, engineering, and product teams to keep documentation aligned with system updates.
- Champion content quality, clarity, and inclusivity across all channels.
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years as a Content Designer, UX Writer, Information Architect, or similar role.
- Experience with design systems (preferred but not required).
- Strong skills in structured content, taxonomy, and metadata.
- Excellent writing skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with tokens, components, and multi-platform documentation.
- Experience collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and PMs.
- Ability to operationalize content governance and processes.
- Previous experience writing for AI preferred.
