As the F&F Online Stock Planning Assistant Merchandiser, you'll play a key role in managing stock flow across our Online business - forecasting inbound and outbound volumes, coordinating returns, and supporting product movement through our 3PL partners. You’ll help set and manage distribution forecasts to ensure capacity and strong product availability. Working closely with Commercial teams, you’ll track stock readiness for Online, support replenishment, and coordinate placement decisions. You’ll also partner with Customer Fulfilment and Couriers to support dispatch, future Click & Collect development, and help deliver great customer satisfaction through effective order and returns management with our CEC and 3PL teams.
Stock Forecasting and Movement:
- Predict inbound, outbound, and returned stock needs.
- Coordinate product movement to third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Support with setting distribution forecasts to ensure product availability.
Online Stock Placement:
- Provide stock availability for online sales.
- Align with commercial targets for Online while balancing store stock needs.
Commercial Stock Provision:
- Coordinate stock replenishment.
- Liaise with teams for online content placement and event launch.
Customer Fulfillment:
- Oversee dispatch through couriers.
- Facilitate Click & Collect in future stores.
Order and Returns Management:
- Ensure customer satisfaction by handling orders and returns.
- Collaborate with customer experience centers (CEC) and 3PL partners.
Automation Support:
- Assist in automating processes at the Daventry location, aligned with the live store model.
Operational skills relevant for this job:
- Intermediate Excel proficiency as minimum.
- Excellent Technical skills on all Tesco and Distribution operating systems.
- Logical and methodical organisation management.
- Good written and verbal skills especially evidence of managing meetings.
- Demonstrate excellent commercial skills.
Experience relevant for this job:
- Understanding of stock movement processes through Tesco.
- Experience in Merchandising, Supply Chain or Store Stock Planning preferred.
- Exposure to Online or Ecommerce retailing ideal.
- Awareness of Store Retail management and commercial approach.
