We're looking for a Data Governance & Quality Lead to play a key role in delivering critical Finance transformation projects. Working across business and technology teams, you'll help ensure that the data underpinning our end-to-end Finance processes is understood, governed, and controlled.
This is a highly collaborative role where you'll often be starting with a blank sheet of paper, bringing together stakeholders from across Product, Engineering, Process and Programme teams to define metadata, establish business rules, implement data quality controls, and support successful project delivery.
You'll combine strong data governance expertise with stakeholder management skills to ensure high-quality, trusted data is embedded into core business processes and operating models.
- Lead data governance and data quality workstreams across complex transformation projects.
- Define and curate metadata, including critical data elements, business definitions, lineage and system mappings.
- Design and implement business rules and data quality controls to support key Finance processes.
- Build, execute and analyse data quality testing, identifying root causes and driving remediation activities.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Process and Programme teams to ensure data requirements are delivered in line with project timelines.
- Manage project plans, stakeholder engagement and workstream reporting.
- Support the transition of data controls, metadata and governance processes into business-as-usual operations.
- Coach and support Data Analysts on project delivery where required
- Experience delivering data governance, data quality or transformation initiatives within complex project environments.
- Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, critical data elements and business glossary development.
- Proven ability to design and implement data quality rules, controls and testing approaches.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across Business, Product, Engineering and Programme teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate requirements into practical solutions.
