Tesco Pharmacy Technicians pay starts at £14.21 per hour, rising to £15.48 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available. Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescription medicines and assess legal appropriateness.
- Provide friendly, professional advice on medicines, ailments and pharmacy services.
- Support pharmacy management and follow all SOPs and dispensary routines.
- Keep dispensary and consultation areas clean, organised and compliant.
- Handle customer and healthcare professional queries within competence.
- Complete prescription administration accurately and on time.
- Promote pharmacy services, products and company initiatives.
- Coach and support team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- NVQ-level Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician qualification (or equivalent).
- Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician/Accuracy Checking Technician.
- Evidence of completing a recognised training programme for Pharmacy Technicians or Accuracy Checking Technicians.
- Proof of meeting annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
