We’re seeking a collaborative and technically skilled Product
Manager to lead the development and enhancement of our marketing technology
platforms and their integration with customer data APIs. This role is central
to enabling personalised, timely, and consistent multichannel communications
across Tesco’s ecosystem. You’ll play a key role in a major martech
transformation, shaping how we connect with millions of customers.
This is a 14 month FTC role.
About the role
We’re seeking a collaborative and technically skilled Product
Manager to lead the development and enhancement of our marketing technology
platforms and their integration with customer data APIs. This role is central
to enabling personalised, timely, and consistent multichannel communications
across Tesco’s ecosystem. You’ll play a key role in a major martech
transformation, shaping how we connect with millions of customers.
This is a 14 month FTC role.
You will be responsible for
- Define and maintain
the product vision and roadmap for marketing technology and its interface
with customer data APIs, ensuring alignment with business goals and
customer needs. - Collaborate with
engineering teams to deliver value iteratively, using agile methodologies
and modern product practices. - Translate user
needs into clear product requirements, including user stories, personas,
and acceptance criteria. - Lead discovery and
validation of new features, focusing on minimum viable products (MVPs) and
rapid experimentation. - Support the
integration and evolution of customer data feeds, ensuring secure,
scalable, and high-performing API solutions. - Partner with
marketing, data science, and CRM teams to enable data-informed
decision-making and campaign execution. - Monitor product
performance, address live issues, and drive continuous improvement based
on feedback and analytics. - Promote best practices
in API development, data governance, and marketing automation.
You will need
- Proven experience
as a Product Manager in marketing technology, customer data platforms, or
API-led environments. - Strong
understanding of APIs, data flows, and integration patterns. - Ability to
communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible way. - Experience with
agile delivery, backlog management, and cross-functional collaboration. - Analytical mindset
with experience in A/B testing, experimentation, and data-informed
decision-making. - Excellent
communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all
levels.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with
marketing automation tools, customer data platforms (CDPs), and
personalisation engines. - Experience in
retail, e-commerce, or consumer-facing digital products. - Working knowledge
of SQL and relational databases. - Understanding of
data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) and their implications for
marketing.
