Availability Window: Monday: 19:00–23:00, Thursday: 18:00–22:00, Friday: 19:00–23:00, Saturday: 19:00–23:00.

Pay and Guaranteed Hours: Our Customer Delivery Driver rate starts from £14.18 per hour and increases to £15.45 per hour for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week for new colleagues, with the option to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12).

Responsibilities:

  • I ensure the van and trays are clean and tidy.
  • I keep the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish, picking up litter as I see it.
  • I wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
  • I load the van as required and check the van for roadworthiness.
  • I talk to the customer about any changes to their order, including short code items and substitutions, and offer a refund for anything they are unhappy with.
  • I take care of products and deliveries as if they were my own.
  • I inform the customer that they will not be charged any more for their substitutions.
  • I deliver during the customer’s scheduled time slot.
  • I call the customer before arriving at their property if early.
  • I call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
  • I build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, working together to make sure our store is the best it can be for customers.
  • I am warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say 'Thank you.'
  • I act quickly to respond to the changing needs of our customers and embrace change within my store.
  • I am energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, integrating home and work to achieve a balance that is right for me.
  • I share ideas with my Manager and other colleagues on how we can improve our store for customers.

Legal and Eligibility: We only recruit individuals who have passed the school leaver’s age. Please note we can only accept candidates over the age of 18 if the role requires working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm, or involves working in areas such as the warehouse, cars, beers, wines and spirits, counters, bakery, and driving roles.
