Availability and hours
Availability Window: Days and times when you are requested to be available to work. The company will schedule your contracted hours within these times, with 3 weeks' notice of your shifts.

Pay and contracts
Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 per hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. New colleagues are offered a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; options to work a minimum of 12 hours are also available.

Responsibilities

  • Serve customers and assist shoppers to enhance their experience.
  • Meet customers, learn product knowledge, and work across service, picking, and replenishment areas as needed.
  • Apply training to work safely, effectively, and deliver great customer service.
  • Make decisions that are right for customers and support in-store routines that meet customer needs.
  • Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Be knowledgeable about store performance and work with the team to drive service, sales, reduce waste, shrink, and deliver profit.
  • Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in good condition.
  • Demonstrate Tesco values, be welcoming, and follow company policies.
  • Occasionally, you may be required to accept deliveries to the store.
  • Deliver great service with a positive attitude and greet customers warmly.
