Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available. Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply. Note: You must be 18 or over to apply for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
  • Work across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go‑to person for day‑to‑day operational queries.
  • Build positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
  • Confidently lead the store in the Manager’s absence.
  • Make balanced, flexible decisions and adapt well to change.
  • Coach colleagues, give feedback and role model great service.
