Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.
Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
- Lead the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store
- Work across all areas of the store and collaborate with all colleagues, serving as the go‑to person for day‑to‑day operational queries
- Build positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best
- Confidently lead the store in the Manager’s absence
- Make balanced, flexible decisions and adapt well to change
- Coach colleagues, give feedback, and model excellent service
- Stay curious and seek opportunities to serve our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day
Qualifications
- Experience in a team‑lead or management position in a fast‑paced retail environment
- Strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer’s needs are met
- Ability to build positive, long‑lasting relationships and create an inclusive, supportive team environment
- Clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed
- Natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to deliver outstanding results
