The predicted salary is between 13 - 14 £ per hour.

Availability Window: Sun 02:00:00‑10:00:00, Sat 02:00:00‑10:00:00. Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location. It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out clean as you go routines, using the clean as you go tools.
  • Keep aisles clear of congestion when replenishing or picking products.
  • Work in a clean, tidy and organised manner and take any equipment that needs cleaning out of use.
  • Follow the warehouse/storage plan, putting everything back in its place.
  • Ensure trays used for picking are clean, taking dirty trays out of use to be cleaned.
  • Regularly replenish products so customers can get what they want: fill products that matter most to our customers first if there are gaps; ensure products have moved to their correct places after merchandising activity; pull stock forward and remove cardboard so products are easily visible.
  • Keep the warehouse organised, putting everything back where it belongs and completing any stock routines accurately and on time.
  • Pick online customers shopping accurately, with the best possible quality and freshness, completing substitutions as required; ensure items picked are of the highest standard of quality, with the best possible date for fresh products.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, working together to make sure our store is the best it can be for customers.
  • Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say thank you.
  • Act quickly to respond to the changing needs of our customers and embrace change within my store.
  • Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, integrating home and work to achieve a balance that is right for me.
  • Share ideas with my Manager and other colleagues on how we can improve our store for customers.

Tesco will only recruit individuals who have passed the school leaver’s age. We can only accept candidates over the age of 18 if the role requires working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm or involves working in areas such as the warehouse, beers, wines & spirits, counters, bakery and driving roles.
