Availability Window

  • Days: Wed 11:30 - 18:00
  • Thu 07:00 - 10:00
  • Fri 13:30 - 20:00
  • Sat 06:00 - 14:00

The table shows the periods of time in the week we would like you to be available to work: the availability windows. You will be scheduled within these times, with at least 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. We support flexibility; if your availability matches closely we may consider you.

Pay

Our Tesco colleague rate of pay starts at £13.28 an hour, increasing to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply based on location.

Work Hours

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week; you may choose to work fewer hours down to a minimum of 12. To apply you must be over 18 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver great customer service, greeting customers with a smile and serving them with pride.
  • Build rapport with customers and help them enjoy a great shopping experience.
  • Take the initiative to make decisions that benefit customers.
  • Work well within a team and communicate openly with others.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to create a team spirit, having fun and celebrating success.
  • Be punctual, well presented and serve as a brand ambassador.
  • Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
  • Participate in seasonal, community and charity events.
  • Assist in service, picking and replenishment areas where needed.
  • Accept deliveries into the store when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Passed school leaver's age requirement; must be over 18.
  • Experience in customer service or retail preferred.
  • Prepared to work flexible hours and handle shift changes.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Knowledge of store products and services.
  • Ability to work safely and provide excellent service to customers.
  • Understanding of store performance and contribution to service and sales.
  • For roles requiring early morning or late night shifts, age restrictions apply.
