  • Sun: 15:00 – 23:00
  • Thu: 15:00 – 23:00
  • Fri: 15:00 – 23:00

Pay & Hours

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location. We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. If you would like to work fewer hours (minimum of 12), we can accommodate your preferences.

Responsibilities

  • Help to serve shoppers better every day.
  • Build rapport with customers and ensure a great shopping experience.
  • Work across the store in our service, picking, and replenishment areas as required.
  • Apply training to work safely, effectively, and deliver excellent service.
  • Make decisions that are right for customers and deliver routines that meet their needs.
  • Take part in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understand store performance, collaborate with colleagues, and help drive service, sales, and profit.
  • Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure customers receive them in the best condition.
  • Live our values, make everyone feel welcome, and follow policies.
  • Accept deliveries into the store when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
  • Ability to build rapport with customers and leave a lasting positive impression.
  • Take initiative and make decisions that benefit customers.
  • Work well within a team and communicate openly with colleagues.
  • Be punctual, well presented, and represent Tesco as a brand ambassador.
  • Proactive and able to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late evenings as specified in availability.
  • Be over 18 years of age. For roles requiring work before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm, or involving work in areas such as the warehouse, beer, wine, spirits, counters, bakery, or driving, candidates must be over 18.
