Tesco Skilled Baker pay starts at £14.21 per hour, rising to £15.48 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available. Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. Responsibilities:
- Providing friendly, natural service and getting to know your customers, offering advice on freshly baked products and creating a warm, welcoming bakery experience.
- Providing flexible support across the Bakery and wider store, including preparing and baking products to high standards, maintaining excellent availability, supporting with customer queries, and delivering a friendly, professional service that ensures customers leave feeling valued and well looked after.
- Making customer‑focused decisions and completing key bakery routines with care from baking and finishing products to managing stock, and quality checks, throughout the day.
- Understanding how your role supports great service, strong sales, waste reduction, and overall store performance by producing high‑quality products and keeping the bakery running smoothly.
- A passion for delivering great service, greeting every customer with a smile, and serving them with pride while helping them choose from our freshly baked products.
