Availability windows and pay details are provided to give candidates an understanding of working times and expected earnings. The role is flexible, with a guaranteed minimum of 12–16 hours each week, and hourly rates start at £14.18, increasing to £15.45 for store deliveries within the M25.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the van and trays used are clean, tidy and organised.
  • Leave the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish, and pick up litter as appropriate.
  • Participate in the tray wash process, washing trays as part of the routine.
  • Load the van as required, checking for roadworthiness before departure.
  • Communicate with customers about any changes to their order, including short‑code items and substitutions, and offer refunds for any items they are unhappy with.
  • Treat all products and deliveries with care, as if they were your own.
  • Explain to the customer that no additional charges will apply for substitutions.
  • Deliver during the customer’s time slot, calling the customer before arriving if early.
  • Call the store or centre if running thirty or more minutes late.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, working together to make sure the store is the best it can be for customers.

  • Act quickly to respond to the changing needs of customers and embrace change within the store.
  • Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, integrating home and work to achieve a balance that is right for you.
  • Share ideas with your manager and other colleagues on how we can improve the store for customers.
  • A valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than three penalty points.
