Pay: Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. A minimum of 16 hours per week is guaranteed, though roles from 12 hours are also available. Contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply. Minimum age: 18 or over.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
- Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go‑to person for day‑to‑day operational queries.
- Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
- Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
- Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
- Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role‑modeling great service.
- Staying curious and seeking opportunities to serve our customers, communities, and the planet a little better every day.

- Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast‑paced retail environment.
