Pay & Benefits
Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. For all hours worked between midnight and 6 am you will receive an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour worked. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
Working Hours
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with the option to commit to fewer hours (minimum 12). You will receive three weeks’ notice of exact shifts.
Responsibilities
- Help to serve shoppers every day
- Meet great people, learn new things and be part of a specialist, diverse team where everyone is welcome
- Provide great natural service, giving customers the experience of great shopping trips
- Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required
- Put into practice the training received so we all work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly
- Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines that meet customer needs at the right time
- Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere
- Be knowledgeable about store's performance, understanding your role to drive service, sales, reduce waste and shrink and deliver profit
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in best condition
- Live company values, make everyone feel welcome and always follow policies
- Accept deliveries into the store as required
Qualifications
- A passion for delivering great service, greeting customers with a smile, and serving them with pride
