Theyre the talented people making every day a little better for our customers.

As a Team Member in our caf, you're part of everything - a bit of cooking, a bit of chatting with customers, and a lot of impact.

As someone dedicated to great service, youll make sure that every dish you prepare and serve lives up to the promise of our menu and meets all safety standards.

Along with this, youll help keep everything, from kitchen equipment to customer tables tidy and clean.

Its a lively role, full of everyday challenges, but thats just one of the reasons its so exciting.

Its our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 8 guaranteed hours each week.

The table shows the periods of time in the week wed like you to be available to work the availability windows.

We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and youll have 3 weeks notice of exactly when your shifts will be.

We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues, therefore if the times youre available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, wed still love to hear from you.

Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of Tesco as a business, the following provides an overview of the roles key responsibilities and measures:

  • Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
  • Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
  • Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
  • Practising first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
  • Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
  • Being aware of (and following) all operational policies and procedures.
  • Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our cafs delicious menu.
  • Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
  • Knowing our cafs menu inside and out and serving food exactly as its intended.
  • Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Caf Manager.
  • Staying up-to-date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
  • Clearing and sanitising tables so our caf stays clean.
