Tesco Pharmacy Technicians pay starts at £14.21 per hour, rising to £15.48 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available. Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply.

  • Accurately dispense prescription medicines and assess legal appropriateness.
  • Provide friendly, professional advice on medicines, ailments and pharmacy services.
  • Support pharmacy management and follow all SOPs and dispensary routines.
  • Keep dispensary and consultation areas clean, organised and compliant.
  • Handle customer and healthcare professional queries within competence.
  • Complete prescription administration accurately and on time.
  • Promote pharmacy services, products and company initiatives.
  • Coach and support team members as needed.
  • Maintain GPhC registration, training and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ‑level Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician qualification (or equivalent).
  • Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician/Accuracy Checking Technician.
  • Evidence of completing a recognised training programme for Pharmacy Technicians or Accuracy Checking Technicians.
  • Proof of meeting annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
