Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but you may work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) if that better fits your schedule.
The table shows the periods of time in the week we would like you to be available to work: the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have three weeks' notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues, so if the times you are available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, we would still love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Help serve shoppers better every day.
- Meet great people, learn new things and be part of a specialist, diverse team where everyone is welcome.
- Deliver great natural service, giving customers great satisfaction.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
- Work across the store in the service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
- Apply the training received to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
- Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines in store that meet their needs at the right time.
- Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
- Be knowledgeable about your store's performance, understand your role and what we need to do together to drive service and sales, reduce waste and shrink and deliver profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
- Live our values, make everyone feel welcome and always follow our policies.
- Accept deliveries into the store when required.

Eligibility
You must be over 18 to apply for this role.
We can only accept candidates over the age of 18 if the role involves working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm or in areas such as the warehouse, beer, wine and spirits, counters, bakery and driving roles.
