Pay & Hours: Our Customer Delivery Driver rate starts at £14.18 an hour, increasing to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location. Minimum guaranteed hours are 16 per week, but we offer 12‑to‑16‑hour options.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the van and trays used are clean, tidy and organised.
- Keep the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish; pick up litter as seen.
- Ensure trays are washed as part of the tray wash process.
- Load the van as required and check roadworthiness.
- Communicate with customers about order changes, substitutions and refunds.
- Take care of products/deliveries as if they were my own.
- Explain to customers that they will not be charged for substitutions.
- Deliver during the customer’s time slot.
- Call the customer before arriving if early.
- Call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
- Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit.
- Give warm, welcoming interactions with customers and colleagues.
- Act quickly to respond to changing customer needs and embrace change.
- Show energy and drive to deliver beyond expectations.
- Share ideas with the manager and colleagues on how to improve the store.
Qualifications:
- A valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
