  • Pay and Conditions

Base pay starts at Β£13.28 per hour, increasing to Β£14.55 per hour for stores within the M25.

A night premium of Β£2.35 per hour is paid for work between midnight and 6 am.

Participants are guaranteed a minimum of 16 hours per week, with flexible options down to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Serve shoppers to improve overall experience.
  • Interact with customers, demonstrate product knowledge, and provide excellent service.
  • Manage picking, replenishment, and store areas.
  • Apply training to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
  • Make decisions that benefit customers and streamline service.
  • Participate in seasonal, community and charity events.
  • Use performance data to drive sales, reduce waste and shrinkage, and support profit.
  • Handle products with care to maintain quality.
  • Live Tesco values – make everyone feel welcome and follow policy.
  • Accept deliveries to the store when required.

Qualifications

  • Over 18 years old (minimum age requirement).

For roles involving early morning or late evening work, or in warehouses, counters, bakery or driving roles, a minimum age of 18 also applies.
