Availability Window: Sun 10:00-14:30, Wed 14:00-23:00, Sat 05:30-14:30. Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. A minimum of 16 hours per week is guaranteed, though roles from 12 hours are also available. Please note you need to be 18 or over to apply for this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team to deliver a great experience for customers in store.
- Work across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, acting as the go‑to person for day‑to‑day operational queries.
- Build positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
- Confidently lead the store in the Manager’s absence.
- Make balanced, flexible decisions and adapt well to change.
- Coach colleagues, give feedback and role‑model great service.
- Stay curious and seek opportunities to serve customers, communities and the planet a little better every day.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a team‑lead or management position in a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer’s needs are met.

- A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
