Availability Window: Sun 05:30 – 14:00, Wed 17:00 – 23:15, Fri 14:00 – 23:15, Sat 10:00 – 19:00

Pay Rate: Hourly pay starts from £13.28, rising to £14.55 in stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Help serve shoppers better every day.
  • Meet great people, learn new things and be part of a specialist, diverse team where everyone is welcome.
  • Provide great natural service, knowing customers and serving them with passion and pride.
  • Be knowledgeable about products and services within the store.
  • Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
  • Put into practice the training received, so all work safely, effectively and customers are served brilliantly.
  • Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines in store that meet the needs of customers at the right time.
  • Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
  • Be knowledgeable about store performance, understand the role you play and what is needed to drive service and sales, reduce waste and shrink, and deliver profit.
  • Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
  • Live Tesco’s values, make everyone feel welcome and always follow policies.
  • Accept deliveries into the store when required.
Requirements:
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about delivering great service, greeting customers with a smile, and serving them with pride.
  • Build rapport with customers so they leave with a great shopping experience.
  • Take initiative and make decisions that are right for the customers.
  • Work well within a team and communicate openly with others.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, having fun and celebrating success.
  • Be on time, well presented and ready to be a brand ambassador.
  • Must be over 18 years of age. If working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm, or in areas such as warehouse, beer, wine & spirits, counters, bakery, or driving roles, you must still be over 18.
  • Minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week with the option to work fewer hours (minimum 12).
