Pay & Hours
Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location. We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with a flexible option for 12 hours or more.
Responsibilities
- Help to serve shoppers better every day.
- Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
- Put into practice the training received, ensuring safe and effective operations.
- Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines in store that meet the needs of customers at the right time.
- Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
- Be knowledgeable about the store's performance and help drive service and sales, reduce waste and shrink, and deliver profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
- Accept deliveries into the store as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
- Build rapport with customers, ensuring they leave having experienced a great shopping trip.
- Take the initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers.
- Work well within a team and communicate openly with others.

Eligibility
Must be over 18 to apply. In some circumstances, candidates under 18 can apply if the role does not involve working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm or in areas such as the warehouse, beer, wine, spirits, counters, bakery or driving roles.
