Pay and Premiums
Colleague rate starts from £13.28 an hour; increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Night premium of £2.35 per hour worked between midnight and 6 am. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
Hours
Minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with flexibility for fewer hours (minimum 12).
Responsibilities
- Help serve shoppers better every day.
- Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas.
- Apply training to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
- Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines that meet needs at the right time.
- Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
- Be knowledgeable about store performance and understand your role in driving service and sales, reducing waste and shrink, and delivering profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in best condition.
- Live the values, make everyone feel welcome and follow policies.
- Accept deliveries into the store when required.

We recruit individuals who have passed the school leaver’s age. Candidates over the age of 18 are accepted if the role requires working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm or involves working in areas such as the warehouse, beers, wines and spirits, counters, bakery and driving roles.
