Availability and Hours

Availability window: Sun 08:00 – 18:00, Tue 19:00 – 23:00, Wed 18:00 – 22:00, Fri 18:00 – 22:00, Sat 18:00 – 23:00. We schedule 16 guaranteed hours per week, with flexibility down to 12 hours.

Pay

Start rate £14.18 per hour, increasing to £15.45 per hour for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the van and trays are clean and tidy.
  • Leave the back yard clean, tidy, and clear of rubbish, picking up litter as you see it.
  • Ensure trays are washed as part of the tray wash process.
  • Load the van as required, checking it for roadworthiness.
  • Talk to the customer about any changes to their order, including short‑code items and substitutions, and offer a refund for any dissatisfaction.
  • Take care of products/deliveries as if they were your own.
  • Explain to the customer that there will be no additional charge for substitutions.
  • Deliver during the customer’s time slot.
  • Call the customer before arriving at their property if early.
  • Call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, working together to make the store the best it can be for customers.
  • Remain warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say 'Thank you'.
  • Act quickly to respond to changing customer needs and embrace change within your store.
  • Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, integrating home and work to achieve a balanced life.
  • Share ideas with your manager and other colleagues on how you can improve the store for customers.

Qualifications

A valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) with no more than three penalty points, held for at least 12 months.
