Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 per hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. For all hours worked between midnight and 6:00 am you will receive an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour. Additional payments may apply depending on location.

It is our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. If you would prefer fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too.

The table shows the periods of time in the week we would like you to be available to work—the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and provide 3 weeks\\' notice of when your shifts will be. We are open to flexible availability that closely matches the advertised times.

  • Serve customers to a high standard, helping to handle their needs and questions.

  • Work across store areas including service, picking and replenishment as required.
  • Follow training and safety procedures to ensure safe, effective service and customer satisfaction.
  • Make decisions that are right for customers and deliver routines that meet customer needs at the right time.

  • Understand store performance and collaborate to drive service, sales, waste reduction, and profit.
  • Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in good condition.
  • Demonstrate Tesco values, be welcoming, and adhere to company policies.
  • May be required to accept deliveries into the store from time to time.
