We are currently recruiting a Freezer Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse team. This role involves working in a freezer environment to support the efficient picking, packing, and movement of goods while maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.
As a member of our warehouse team you will undertake challenging and rewarding work and play a pivotal role in ensuring we fulfil our customers' needs.
Successful candidates will be required to work 5 days per week between Sunday and Friday with shift hours of 06:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs (the early day shift) one week and 14:00 hrs to 22:00 hrs (the late day shift) the next week. Limited positions are available on the night shift 22:00 hrs–06:00 hrs.
Key Responsibilities
- The picking, packing and loading of our customer food orders for delivery within a freezer environment.
- Ensuring stock is handled and stored correctly.
- Processing goods effectively and efficiently.
- Performing stock checks as and when necessary.
- Replenishing the DC with goods in stock.
- Performing the necessary hygiene checks.
A basic understanding of Health and Safety is essential, along with a good standard of literacy and numeracy skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Ability to work in a freezer environment (full PPE provided)
- Good attention to detail
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours
- Previous warehouse or freezer experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
- Reach Truck Experience
- LLOP or PPT Experience
- Counterbalance truck licence/experience
- FLT Licence/experience
